NodeBB Inc. is a federally incorporated corporation operating out of Toronto, Canada. NodeBB started in 2014 and was founded around providing a modern alternative to forum software that had stagnated in the decades since their original introduction.

NodeBB functions as the primary sponsor of development for the NodeBB open-source software, and also provides hosting services, maintenance & support for organizations, as well as custom theme and plugin development.
